The Cambridge eScience Centre (CeSC)

The Cambridge eScience Centre is based in the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. It is part of the Centre for Scientific Computing. We offer advice and support on large scale distributed computing, normally in the context of collaborating with you on research council funded projects.

The main objectives of the CeSC are:

  • To support research projects involving scientists and industry in the Cambridge region.
  • To enable new scientific advances by using novel computing paradigms to tackle Peta-scale problems.
  • To develop new generic tools for massive data handling, high-perfomance computing and visualisation applications on wide area networks.
